We currently have three age divisions in our youth in-house program; 10 under, 13 and under and 16 and under.

Each team will play in the playoffs. All teams are drafted each season and volunteers are much relied upon for coaching.

This is a recreational league and we stress the importance of having fun and learning. Therefore, we are flexible to suit each players need and put them in their respective division. Each player, parent and coach is required to sign a Code of Ethics to help maintain a positive approach toward the league.

TOTAL PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

          Become a total player through our complete skills training (skating, puck control, scoring and classroom instructions). Our training system breaks the game down to improve your confidence, control and power. Our program eliminates weaknesses and builds upon strengths.

OBJECTIVE:

The Shooters Indoor Hockey League was formed to provide area youth with a safe and organized outlet to play hockey while developing their skills and understanding of the sport.

LEAGUE INCLUDES:

• $225.00 seasonal membership fee
• There will be 14 regular season games plus playoffs.
• There will be 4 practices (one hour each) distributed throughout the season.

• Schedules of practices and games will be provided at the first practice.
• Loaner jersey

• End of the season party.
• Awards for everyone.

GAME FORMAT:

• Four on  four plus goalie
• Games will be made up of three 15 minute periods ( 2 minutes between periods.)
• Incidental contact is part of the sport of roller hockey. With our current facility, checking is not allowed and is closely monitored.
• AAU/USARS rules will apply.
• We will have a fall (August - October), winter (November - January), spring (February - April) and summer (May - July) and summer camps.
• 10U division will play on Mondays at 6:30 and 7:30 pm and Saturdays 8:00am - 3:00pm times to be rotated between all divisions.
• 13U division will play on Thursdays at 6:30 and 7:30 pm and Saturdays 8:00am - 3:00pm times to be rotated between all divisions.
• 16U division will play on Tuesdays at 6:30 and 7:30 pm and Saturdays 8:00am - 3:00pm rotated between all divisions.

EQUIPMENT:

• Roller hockey is a contact sport. Safety is our first and foremost goal. The equipment requirements are as follows:
•  Rink approved skates (NO BLACK BRAKES)
• Hockey helmet with chin straps & full face shield (wire or plastic)
• Hockey stick (with taped, plastic or rubber knob on butt end of stick)
•  Hockey gloves
• Elbow pads
• Athletic supporter and cup (males only
• Shin guards/knee pads
• Mouth guard
• Shoulder or chest pads (optional)
• Hockey girdle (optional)
• Hockey pants
